Change = Growth

We are 11 days into the New Year of 2025 and I am sure we are all in our moments of creating new goals and hopes for something greater and better than last year. But what if the new goal and hope you are wanting to see differently is just needing a light touch up?

That is exactly what is happening to Girls Therapy this year. It’s been a wave of ups and downs, figuring out the direction, finding the time between school drop offs/ pickups and a calendar filled of activities, career and daily to do’s; it’s been at a standstill for the past few years where no direction took place. I started blogging back again in 2022 when we moved to our new home and then life took a turn, well to be honest a little of God and my own control took a turn away from growing Girls Therapy into an online community.

God impressed in my heart today that it is okay for change to occur as that is it the way he is growing you and I. It may not be how we envision it at times but as we let go and let God do his part we begin to see his vision and not our own fleshy vision. Which brings me to a change in Girls Therapy the “name” that as once it was a beautiful start to something that God instilled in my heart to grow and flourish way back in 2013, he is now making a change to something bigger and more beautiful this year. I can remind you of Psalm 139:14 “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made” which is where God will continue to Blossom us together.

A little back story is God asked me to lead a Women’s group in 2022 to bring women closer to Jesus, to make new friends in Arizona and build a community of Women that are prayer warriors, seeking encouragement, love and support that can surround them each and every day. Even though God knew this group needed to be created for others, he knew that this would be the best place for me to grow and mature spiritually with him because I had women that are now friends holding me accountable and praying for me. It took a lot for me to get out of my comfort zone but I took a leap in faith 3 years ago and here we are in a New Year still going strong with the women’s group. As I am sharing this, it only brings me joyful and peaceful feelings, thoughts and emotions to see how God has worked in our group these past three years. We have been prayer warriors for one another, we have seen miracles happen, we have experienced joy, loss, sadness, guilt and so many tears together but in the end, I can testify that we overcame because of God. God orchestrated everything the way it needed to be which includes the name of our Women’s group over three years ago and brings me to a happy and emotional change of Girls Therapy to come to a close but be renamed Blossom Together.

It is with pure joy and excitement that Girls Therapy will always be a part of our beginning but as God opened my eyes and heart the last 11 days he wants it to be transformed through Blossom Together. By definition Blossom means to produce, flourish and develop which is where God is leading for this new year to go for our online community. It will not be about making it all perfect but it will be about bringing all of you together in a safe place to build relationships and learn and grow to fall in love with Jesus each and every day together. I will leave you with what I know best and that is through prayer.

Father, thank you for instilling in me a heartfelt peace and joy to embrace change for Girls Therapy to Blossom Together, NFP to bring girls and women at the feet of Jesus. Father I ask that as we begin this change that with each girl and woman that finds our online community that you give them the joy and excitement to build a community around them where they pray together, establish a relationship with you and grow and mature them to be the women of God you intend them to be in this New Year. I ask this in Jesus Name Amen-Amen!
